Play gym, part 2

Happy 6 months Evvy!!!!
Ev can now push herself up into crawling position, she can roll any where she likes, she can push herself backwards (and sometimes forwards) while on her belly and she's discovering new foods (green beans, sweet potatoes, squash, and oatmeal).
Bright and somewhat early Clint was back to work

Oh, Evvy's also teething like crazy which means we're inseparable.

Alright!! There's a roof...

and walls...

a great look out...

not too many pieces left...

there's a great spot to pop out and yell "roar!"

...there's the "mickey mouse club house" to dance inside (cal chose the name)...

and there's a place to buy a burger (also his idea).

Operation Play Gym, part 1

This week Clint started building the safety area and play gym...

Building the safety area (will be filled with bark chips for softening falls)

1ast step of play gym assembly, label all the pieces

The kids and I went for a walk while Clint worked.

Cal is so excited that at bedtime he told me he will be dreaming of his "park"

Daddy's helper

Around the house

Cal found the hat from his Halloween costume...the one he wore at a year old!

So of course Sister had to try it on

Mother's Day 2010

Solid Foods & Play Time

Evvy was completely fascinated by the tunnel and loved doing crunches so she could look inside.

So far she has had cereal, sweet potatoes (with slight rash, probably temporary allergy) and green beans...yum

Our trip to Oregon, April-May 2010

For trip chronology purposes, starting at the bottom of this post and working to the top will work best...it's been a while since I've blogged, oops.

On our way home from Oregon we stopped at a BK so Cal could play and Evvy could nurse. The indoor play gym was very large and built especially for little ones. After crawling through a box type stair/maze you could go straight and end up in a green ball (where Cal is in the picture) or go right and end up down a slide. With a lot of re-direction Clint finally talked Cal into going into the ball, on Cal's way down he started crying that he was stuck in the tubing. Just as Clint squeezed his 6'+ body into the box type stairs and was ready to ascend to retrieve our son we hear this "I did it!! I'm out!!!" and down the slide he came. The look Clint gave him after he painfully escaped the play gym was hilarious.

We stopped at a really nice rest area to give the kids a break and a snack...Cal was Mr. Cool in his shades and Evvy played dress-up (below).

Papa and Cal were playing catch and after about 20 minutes Cal just decided he was done.

Given Daddy a shave. Cal did pretty well...he gave him the perfect multi-mohawk cut
